Löbo will destroy the world with their music!

Or maybe not. Even so, the young Portuguese band shows there's room for something new and musically unique, naturally accepting their influences and, at the same time, trying to transcend musical genres where they fit. The entity started it's creation in 2008 with a debut demo, featuring a 16-minute imposing metallic trip called «Dânaca». With their first EP - «Älma» - they take another step towards their own identity, mixing metal, electronic and ambient. Löbo created 35 minutes where each note is deep and makes sense. The space works as background in an EP where all is connected and where the band tries to make a reflection on the (human) conscience of death.

Formed in the end of 2007 by João Vairinhos (drums), Luís Pestana (guitars) and Ricardo Remédio (synths), the band debuted live in September 2008, and have been played regularly on stage, joined by Renato Sousa (bass) until late 2009. From these gigs, a mini-tour totally DIY stands out, which culminated in the opening slot for Wolves In The Throne Room, in Porto Rio. They were also the special guests in Men Eater’s second album release tour.

About to release their debut EP through Portuguese Major Label Industries – “house” of illustrious names such as Process Of Guilt, The Firstborn and ThanatoSchizO – Löbo keep their creative process intact: they’re working already in their next EP and the anticipated first album will be finalized this Summer. The band also went through a series of Portuguese dates in a local EP release-tour, again DIY, showing that perseverance pays off and proving that it’s onstage that Löbo set theirselves truly free.
